SUMMER ASSOCIATE PROGRAM

Anthony Ostlund actively looks for talented summer associates to join our team. We work closely with our summer associates to provide opportunities for them to develop the skills necessary to succeed at trying cases and we ensure that they experience many aspects of the real world practice of law.

Get the Trial Lawyer Experience

You are guaranteed to see the inside of a courtroom. Unlike many firms, our cases are tried on a regular basis, and our attorneys are routinely appearing in court in front of judges and juries. Through our Summer Associate program, you will experience what it is like to be a trial lawyer. And through meaningful mentorship and hands-on experiences, you will quickly realize that there is no better litigation firm in the state.

Pathway to a Career

Our program is designed to expose law students to our fast-paced practice while getting to know the Summer Associate on a personal level. Our Summer Associates are treated like real Associates. Our Summer Associates do real work for real clients with opportunities to observe and participate in activities such as trials, hearings, depositions, mediations, negotiations, and client meetings. In addition to the hands-on experiences, you will receive mentorship from some of the best litigators in the state. We pair each Summer Associate with two mentors to ensure you learn about the firm and how to become an effective trial lawyer. Anthony Ostlund routinely hires its Summer Associates as full-time associates after graduation.

Our Summer Associate program generally runs for ten weeks, from late May to the middle of August. We offer competitive weekly salaries to our Summer Associates.

Application Materials.

Applicants should submit a Cover Letter, Resume, Unofficial Transcript and Writing Sample. Whenever possible, writing samples should reflect Anthony Ostlund’s exclusive focus on litigation.

Any successful 1L or 2L candidate will have excellent academic credentials, superior writing and communication skills, and a proven work ethic. A demonstrated interest in litigation is preferred. Submit your application materials to William Paterson at [email protected].
