We have experience litigating real estate matters involving contracts, boundary disputes, title issues, condemnation proceedings, and valuation claims, just to name a few. We appreciate and have the skills necessary to understand the underlying legal and business issues that our clients face so that we can guide our clients to an effective resolution.

Resolving real estate matters is one of our sweet spots. We have a depth of experience in this area. For instance:

 

  • Successfully resolved case for owners of property next to Minnesota Vikings football stadium by obtaining a more than $17,000,000 payment for them on a piece of property with a tax-value of less than $5,000,000.
  • Recovered over $73 million in an arbitration proceeding in California over development fraud in connection with the construction of a large residential development complex in San Francisco, California.
  • Prevailed on slander of title claim for developer of luxury condominium development in downtown Minneapolis after defendant filed a $1,300,000 mechanic’s lien on developer’s property; summary judgment determination in favor of Anthony Ostlund client upheld on appeal.
  • Obtained jury verdict for homeowner in lawsuit against the City of Minneapolis over proper responsibility for a nearly $100,000 retaining wall.
