Sam Walling’s passion for problem solving fuels his pursuit of winning strategies for his clients.
Over the course of nearly twenty years, Sam has represented individuals, small businesses, and Fortune 100 corporations, as plaintiffs and defendants, in complex commercial litigation matters across the country. In every matter, Sam draws on his deep experience litigating cases from both sides to quickly get to the heart of the matter to provide solid, commercially reasonable legal advice that provides a viable path to the client’s definition of success. Clients rely on Sam to execute these strategies through motion practice, depositions, expert discovery, and settlement negotiations. His experiences include contract disputes, financial services litigation, fraud and fiduciary duty claims, patent litigation, and trade secret claims.
Prior to law school, Sam worked as a financial analyst for a multibillion-dollar healthcare provider network. Sam utilizes these skills in his legal practice when analyzing complex financial matters and developing easy-to-understand arguments that will resonate with judges and juries.
Sam is also committed to pro bono and nonprofit service. He has handled three asylum claims before the U.S. Immigration Courts and currently serves as a director on three nonprofit boards: Achieve Twin Cities, The Advocates for Human Rights, and the Minnesota Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.
