Vince Louwagie was appointed to serve as the inaugural Chair of the newly-formed Private Business Governance Committee within the Minnesota State Bar Association’s Business Law Section
The committee was formed to deal with issue of concern to owners of private businesses, regardless of the legal form of those private businesses. The focus will be on governance rights as they impact disputes among the owners of private businesses.
The Private Business Governance Committee will work closely with the Business/Professional Corporations Committee, the Partnerships and LLCs Committee, other committees of the Business Law Section, and with the Section’s Legislative Coordinator and the Secretary of State’s Office to monitor, react to, and testify regarding proposed changes to Minnesota Statutes insofar as those statutes impact the governance rights and responsibilities of private business owners.
