Anthony Ostlund client, Paul Beard, finally reached a settlement with his former colleagues, Anthony Sorensen and Chris Ohlendorf.
Sorensen and Ohlendorf began excluding Beard from McKinley Consulting in late 2012 and finished the job in August 2014 by merging McKinley Consulting into Versique, a company the two of them created for the purpose of squeezing Beard out. The conduct of Sorensen and Ohlendorf resulted in two separate lawsuits. One of those suits was tried in September and resulted in an award to Beard that more than doubled the amount he was paid for his interest in McKinley Consulting. Now the parties have reached a settlement of all matters between them. The final settlement means payments to Beard totaling nearly three times that which Sorensen and Ohlendorf originally paid him for his interest. In addition, Beard was released from any obligation for a personal guaranty he had provided in support of McKinley Consulting back before the trouble began.
