Anthony Ostlund shareholder Janel Dressen represents the family of a 17 year old girl who was sexually assaulted by her tennis coach.
The 27 year old former tennis coach, Daniel Hubbard-Wilson, was suspended from his job as a tennis coach at Visitation School after allegations arose that he had an inappropriate relationship with a female player.
Wilson has been arrested three times for violating a no-contact order since his original arrest. Following his latest arrest, Ramsey County Judge Diane Alshouse set Wilson’s bail at $1 million, calling his behavior “reprehensible.”
While Wilson’s attorney had argued that the bail was excessive, the family’s attorney, Janel Dressen, believes the bail is necessary to prevent further contact with the victim. Following the hearing, she released a statement:
“Wilson was arrested again yesterday for violating the harassment order. Judge Allshaus set bail at $1,000,000 this morning and Wilson is in custody. The family is relieved that the Court is finally taking this matter seriously, as it should. Wilson’s continued contact with his victim in violation of court orders has caused her and her family significant emotional harm. We can only hope that he remains in jail so that he cannot cause her further damage and jeopardize her safety or the safety of other victims.”
