This article discusses the basics of e-discovery from a Minnesota perspective. It is divided into several sections, each of which addresses different aspects of e-discovery.
The covered topics include: types of discoverable information, preservation, e-discovery misconduct, sanctions, proportionality, cooperation, competent representation, and malpractice issues.
The Minnesota E-Discovery Group 1 consists of a group of Minnesota judges, lawyers, and e-discovery experts. The group was formed to consider and address aspects of e-discovery best practices from the perspective of Minnesota practitioners.
