Anthony Ostlund attorney Dan Hall recently obtained an order granting a motion to dismiss and compel arbitration for its client which sought to enforce an arbitration clause requiring the case to proceed in arbitration.
Anthony Ostlund defended its client in a contract dispute that was initially filed in Hennepin County District Court. Anthony Ostlund removed the case to federal court and then moved to dismiss the case and compel arbitration.
The United States District Court for the District of Minnesota granted the motion. The Court found that an arbitration clause in the client’s agreement required the dispute to be decided by an arbitrator. Because “the entire controversy between the parties will be resolved by arbitration,” the Court dismissed the case.
