Randy Gullickson successfully settled an arbitration claim on behalf of the former owners of a northern Minnesota resort.
Anthony Ostlund’s clients sold a northern Minnesota resort several years ago under a contract that required the Buyers to share future sales proceeds if and when the Buyers sold the resort to a third party. Last summer, the Buyers sold the resort to a third party and calculated the amount due Anthony Ostlund’s clients to be a mere $11,200. Contending that was all they owed Anthony Ostlund’s clients under the terms of the contract, the Buyers tendered payment to Anthony Ostlund’s clients in that amount. Randy filed a claim before the American Arbitration Association to recover the full amount that the Buyers owed to Anthony Ostlund’s clients. Ultimately, the claims were successfully settled and Anthony Ostlund’s clients were paid $360,000.
